Star Profile – Kohinoor Chowdhury

Name: Kohinoor Chowdhury- Age: 22 – Position: Striker –

Born in Dec 1986. An established member of the Bromley Juniors Team and one half of the legendary Chowdhury brother’s. Recent developments see’s him hitting crossbars for the Bromley by Bow FC team. He grew up on the streets of Bromley By Bow and sought his career as a striker in the B team, basing his play on Bobby Zamora mould but sharing the same birthday as Javier Saviola. He started to get regular action in the 2008-09 season scoring some spectacluar goals.

His qualities include the instinctive awareness and understanding of the game. He has the ability to shred the defences with his passes that are taken from his silky touches that belies his powerful build but nothing can disguise a natural footballer and his desire to strike the ball. He has also combined a lethal partnership with Prince and trains Suleman on his left foot strike.

Last season many saw him training in the dark arts of chopping by non other than his illustrious brother Mamun – which is where he developed his thirst for legs and a few yellow cards in succession have labelled him Chopper Harris.

In his spare time he like to cut his hair like Jay Sean and model next to the famous Beehive (once visited by Pavarotti) alongside Reja Rahman and another Bromley B stralet Riaz Uddin (there are rumours that the trio will be featured in Hello Magazine). The future for Bromley B looks bright as long as Kohinoor keeps on developing his strikers instinct and finding the net. He has have achieved numerous awards since Marner School that includes his 100% Attendance Certificate which still occupies the Chowdhury Mantlepiece.

As a Number 9 playing in “the hole”, rumour is he has trademarked the KC9 logo like Cristiano Ronaldo did with CR7. Hobbies/Interests include collecting conkers and studies of Anthropology and Institutional Economics.
