Oli Rahman – ILFL Player of the Season 10/11

As the ILFL Award went under away on 15th May @ the Royal Regency Banqueting Hall.  As usual Bromley by Bow FC picked up a few Trophies & Awards. Side Trophies included Runner’s up for the ILFL League & Cup but this did not take away the limelight for the individual awards picked up for Player of the Season – Oli Rahman..

–          Oli is a home grown player who has also played through our youth set up and is an integral part of the current squad set up.

–          One of the strongest and most respected midfielders in the league and a favourite with the Bromley By Bow FC’s notorious fans who can be heard chanting ‘’ Oli, Oli, Oli………. Oi Oi Oi’’

–          His consistency and dynamic performances has earned him call ups to represent Sporting Bengal.

–          A very dedicated individual who works tirelessly to improve himself, his team mates and has also taken to coaching the youth set up producing players like Steven Carvell under his guidance.

–          His attributes include strength, aerial power, ability to read the game, dictate the pace of the game and an all round solid players.

Top Goal Scorer – Bahar Ali

–          Product of the Bromley By Bow youth set up and moved his way up the ranks to become an important member of the team one of the most prolific strikers Bromley By Bow FC has ever produced.

–          As a striker, consistently one of the top goal scorers in the league and Is a regular nominee in the ‘’Player of the year’’ category. Has won the ILFL player of the year accolade in his debut 2004-05 season followed by 2006-07 and 2008-09. Also was the recipient of BFA young player of the year.

–          Regularly called up to represent sporting Bengal.

–          As a player, his strengths include lightening pace, quick feet and an instinctive eye for a goal.  

–          Works very hard in training and is very much a team player.

and nominated for Player of the Season in Division 1 ….Steven Carvell

 –          Player who come up through the Bromley By Bow Youth set up.

–          Having played at under 16 level last year, Stevens performances has earned him a call up to the Bromley By Bow Juniors team where he played in his debut season in the ILFL Division 1.

–          His impressive performances , goals and man of the match displays has seen him debut for Bromley By Bow FC during recent tournaments where he has earned great reviews from fellow players and opposition managers. He is set to compete in his first summer league for Bromley By Bow FC.

–          As a young player who will improve over time, Stevens strengths include his ability to pick out passes, technically gifted and can operate in a number of positions including playing behind the striker, attacking midfield and also as a defensive midfielder.

–          Stevens recent progression has seen him called up to represent England school boys and he completed a 3 week training camp in Malaga. He will also play for Bromley Under 18 in the upcoming gothia cup with scouts representing professional teams circulating just to watch him play.
